Part of a kit to make a flying helmet for an open cockpit gyro. ANR doesn't really work in an open cockpit, suspect its tuned to remove engine noise, not 100mph cross winds etc. However, the unit was purchased primarily for bluetooth functionality, to hear safety alerts from SkyDemon and SafeSky and to listed to music during longer flights, it does this perfectly. Only slight wrinkle in the iPhone limiting max volume, but probably a good thing for my ears. Also works perfectly for handling phone calls in the air, well when you have a signal. There is a little dip switch under the battery compartment which disables ANR which is now my preferred setting for open cockpit flying.
