Updated October 2026
Many microlight, gyrocopter and paramotor pilots fly with a Flycom intercom or an older Flycom helmet. If you need a new helmet, a spare for a passenger, or an upgrade, this guide explains what will plug in and work.
An update on Flycom's website
When we first wrote this article in August 2025, the Flycom Avionics website had gone offline, and pilots were contacting us because they could not find product information or support. The Flycom website is now back online as a holding page with contact details. For Flycom's own products, please contact Flycom Avionics directly.
Please note: MicroAvionics is a separate UK company and is not connected to Flycom Avionics. "Flycom" is their name. We design and make our own helmets and headsets, and some of them are built to be compatible with Flycom intercoms.
Will the Fly100 helmet work with my Flycom intercom?
Yes. The Fly100 helmet uses a single 6.35mm (1/4 inch) stereo jack plug. It plugs straight into all Flycom intercoms, old and new, with no adapter needed. It also fits Alphatec intercoms and GA systems with a single socket. ANR and Bluetooth are available as an option.
Fly100 at a glance
- Integral headset helmet in white or carbon fibre, sizes S to XL (55-62cm)
- Lightweight composite shell with EPS trauma liner
- Anti-mist, UV protected, impact resistant visor with visor lock
- Neoprene AirDam chin guard to cut wind noise
- Gel ear seals and high specification ear defenders
- Noise cancelling waterproof microphone
- Volume dial on the rear of the helmet
- Optional Active Noise Reduction (ANR) with Bluetooth
- Designed and made in our UK factory
Using other intercoms or mixing systems
If you have a mix of equipment, for example a Flycom intercom with a MicroAvionics or Lynx headset, or a GA twin plug system, we make adapters so different headsets and intercoms can work together. Call or email us with what you have and we will tell you what you need.
Repairs and support
We offer a fast repair service, usually 24-48 hours turnaround once we have the item, and you can speak directly to people who know open cockpit flying. Our helmets come with a one-year warranty.
Need help choosing?
Tell us your aircraft, your intercom and your head size and we will point you to the right helmet.
